Melissa Scholten (1985, The Netherlands) has a love
for photography all her life. She documents special
moments in life and with her series she tries to give
an image to certain subcultures. She is self-taught,
but followed workshops from Yamandu Roos (2009),
Eddy van Wessel (2009) and FOAM (2009).
Melissa photographs most of the time with analogue
cameras because
she likes the effect and rawness
of film. There is
something magical about the process
of analogue
pictures and it is always a surprise when
the
film is
developed. She also makes photographs
with
digital cameras, but she just prefers
analogue better!
